Merger completed - MLL is ready for the future


The law firms Meyerlustenberger Lachenal and Froriep announce the successfulclosing of their merger as intimated in December 2020. From 1 July 2021, MLLMeyerlustenberger Lachenal Froriep Ltd will operate under the MLL brand.



The new merged law firm offers a strong interdisciplinary and international focus in all areas of commercial law and has a clear positioning through its proven expertise in the high-tech sector and in innovative and regulated industries. MLL sees itself as a law firm of the future and is strengthening its engagement in the training and personal development of each team member. Already this year the MLL Academy will be launched for all employees of the law firm and from 2022 its offering will be extended to others outside the firm. MLL will also be introducing a Cybersecurity Incident Response Hub and aims to play a leading role in the area of legal tech on the Swiss market.


With over 150 lawyers, the newly merged law firm MLL has extensive expertise and experience in all areas of business law. The merger consolidates the existing know-how of the two firms in advising in innovative and regulated industries such as fintech, blockchain, life sciences and artificial intelligence. Ambitious goals drive MLL's leadership and quality standards


The MLL Academy for employees is launching in the second half of 2021. From 2022 training will also be offered to external parties in the areas of business law and personal development. MLL's goal is to become an important training provider on the Swiss market for the next generation of business leaders. With regard to sustainability, MLL aims to become the first leading Swiss law firm to be certified as a B Corporation. Building on this, the firm intends to increasingly be an advisor on sustainability issues for its clients.
