vlot raises CHF 1 million in pre-series A round to accelerate digital transformation

The Zurich based company vlot, runs a SaaS to create awareness of personal income and saving gaps. The financing round led by Spicehaus Partners and co-led by SixThirty Ventures will boost vlots digital transformation in the insurance and pension realm.

vlot helps individuals and families to become more financially reponsible by identifying and closing income and saving gaps based on cutting edge technology. Through B2B partner organizations (primarily insurers, but also brokers, banks and pension funds), vlot helps people to intuitively navigate the jungle of state and employer related social security benefits, and rapidly understand the financial impact of death, disability as well as the lack of adequate retirement funds.

This financing round of 1 million Swiss francs will allow vlot to expand the product offering, ramp up sales activities and grow its B2B customer base. In addition to the new investment, vlot joined the SixThirty Go-To-Market Program, as one of six participants in the 2020 fall cohort.

vlot was part of the Swiss National Startup Team and travelled with the Venture Leaders Fintech 2019 to Hong Kong to meet interational investors. Daniel Schmidheiny, co-founder of vlot, says "Thanks to the outstanding Venturelab network, we were able to rely on insightful input and advice from an expert on some of the legal facets during the heat of the negotiations. We gladly valued this and it helped us to push through and eventually finalize some of the details of the relevant financing round agreements.
